James Westerman, CPA
James Westerman holds degrees from Texas A&M University in Economics and Finance and began his career in the oilfield services industry with Dresser and Hughes Tools as a senior Technical Engineer. He later returned to the University of Texas and obtained a Certified Public Accounting designation and worked as a staff accountant with Padgett Stratmann & Co., a large regional auditing and tax firm.
He then served as controller at Energy Innovations/QC Tools an international seismic acquisition and quality control contractor. As CFO at Energy Innovations he was instrumental in the sale of EI/QC Tools to a major Canadian Seismic Contractor. After completion of this sale, he served as a manager in domestic operations group with Newpark Resources before returning to the international arena working as a consultant to Chevron International in Yemen, Angola, Dubai and Angola. Jim Westerman is currently working with Spirit Drilling as an International Project and Business Development manager.
