Gordana Olbina, Ph.D.
Gordana Olbina is Laboratory Director at Intrinsic LifeSciences. As the first employee of ILS, she initially worked on validation of the original Hepcidin RUO test and contributed to numerous research collaborations. She successfully developed and implemented the policies and procedures required to achieve laboratory accreditation and is currently responsible for day-to-day operations and technical and scientific oversight of the IntrinsicDx CLIA laboratory.
Before joining Intrinsic LifeSciences, Gordana was a Senior Scientist at Genoptix, focusing on personalized medicine for hematology and oncology, where she developed a diagnostic test for detection of the JAK2 V617F mutation, associated with myeloproliferative disorders.
Gordana holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Physiology from University of Belgrade and has completed her postdoctoral research at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies.
